Highlights: Greve in Chianti, Panzano, Volpaia, Radda in Chianti.
With van transfer from your hotel in Florence we move into the very heart of Florentine Chianti. We will start biking from Greve in Chianti on the Via Chiantigiana, one of the most seductive roads of the Chianti Classico region. It winds through rolling hills, villages, castles and wineries. After reaching the first medieval village, Panzano in Chianti, the ride goes through panoramic country backroads heading toward the charming, romantic hamlet of Volpaia. This is where we will stop for lunch. Following a refreshing rest, we will keep on biking on breathtaking downhills and short gentle uphills on our way to Radda in Chianti, a beautiful medieval town enclosed in large, authentic, defensive walls. Here you can take a break and visit this beautiful village.
The trip back begins here, on a gently curving road followed by the last uphill stretch after which we will enjoy the last, well-deserved panoramic route down to Greve in Chianti.
